The Devil's Rejects

For anyone that enjoys Rob Zombie or "House Of 1000 Corpses" - Rob is in production of the new movie, "The Devil's Rejects" which will star all of the people from "...100 Corpses" and then some. Sherri Moon (Rob's super-hot wife) will be starring as well as a new face, but a familiar voice. EG Daily (another cutie) will introduce herself in this new flick. We all know her work - she is the voice of none other than Tommy Pickles from "Rugrats". Now, c'mon, I know you all have watched "Rugrats" before, so don't even try to pretend that you're too cool...

And another thing...*climbs onto soapbox* I couldn't help but notice that some of the members don't think that other members' tastes are "metal" enough - let us once and for all put this nonsense to rest. First and foremost, I believe that is the duty of the creators of this community to determine what is and is not accepted in their community. The rules were clearly stated when we each joined - there was, however, no clause stating which kinds of musical genres were verboten. Second, we should try to keep the elitism to a minimum - we each like different flavors in our "metal soup", so don't chasten anyone else for their preferences. Just because a band is not some Scandinavian skull-licker doesn't mean that is is not metal. Please, people...I mean, we don't ALL have to listen to Jorgen von Hate-the-world.

If two parties wish to determine which is better, "Slipcock" or "Children Of Bo-Dumb"
then by all means, instant message each other or make a phonecall...

Thank you *steps down from soapbox*

(no subject)

Well I haven't been very active in posting in this community, mainly because I don't have much of a life, but whatever. Well over the summer I took a visit to Ohio and the Rock and Roll HOF and picked my dad up a 2 track Grateful Dead album since he loves them. Today I put something cool together for him to hang in his new apartment

Canadian band...

I don't know how many of you live in America, or here in Canuckyland, or Botswana or whatever, but it's been brought to my 'ttention that Canadian metal and rock kinda gets lost in the shuffle once it passes the border.  ("Canadian metal"... that just feels weird to type/say, LOL.)

So let me suggest a band from north of the Americas that you may or may not have heard of...

Alexisonfire?  As I understand, in Indiana at least, they're really popular with hardcore scene kids.  LOL  Which is kinda... well... I guess I'm notorious for hating scene anything, but whatever creams your twinkie.

If you haven't heard of them, I suggest you sample some of their music - "Pulmonary Archery", "Counterparts and Number Them", "Accidents" and "Waterwings" are their best stuff, I think, to start out with, anyway.

If you have, what are your opinions?  I'm genuinely curious about this.  All opinions welcome!
