Types of Female Fans (via Sub-Genres)

I've noticed something during the past year or so, and it's just aroused my curiosity again quite recently:

Within female fans of metal, there seem to be three types of sub-genres that are the most popular among them (the fans, that is): 1) death metal and/or grindcore, 2) power and/or folk metal, and 3) black metal.

[NOTE: That is not to say that one among either of these groups enjoys the other two sub-genres, but rather that more often than not, one of them is the main focus. Personally, technical death particularly fascinates me at the moment (e.g., Necrophagist, Origin, Neuraxis, Man Must Die, Psycroptic, Cephalic Carnage, Trigger the Bloodshed, etc).]

The black metal ones are the one that get to me the most. These are the types of people you see on MySpace who are around 15-years-old (but have their display age has 100 or more) and have a pre-made dark/"goth" profile filled with nothing but band photos and some text akin to: "BURZUM/DARTHRONE/EMPEROR FTW, EVERYTHING ELSE IS UNTR00!!!!11oneone!" Please tell me I'm not the only one here who has seen something like that! Seriously. Those types of people are annoying, for lack of a better word. >=(

Anyway...

What about you guys? If such is the case, which do you fit into? And has anyone else noticed this "phenomenon" as well, or have I obviously gone utterly mad?
