STOP Antifa from policing music

This news is from last year, but this kind of shit is still happening and it has to stop!!!

KRODA Attacked by "Anti-Fascist" Terrorist Thugs in Poland

According to a report published by The Pagan Front, the thugs demolished the car, destroyed the instruments, and seriously injured members of the band. Consequently, the band was forced to abort their mini-tour through Poland, Germany, and Austria.

Following this incident, the German Metal magazine Ablaze Verlag has issued the following statement:

To all Bands, Labels, Mailorders, Publishers and Concert
promoters:

Once again within a few weeks, we have witnessed how Black Metal is being exploited for political purposes. That has to stop finally!

Due to this reason, we have published a proclamation ... that is primarily addressed at the Bands, Labels, Mailorders, Publishers and concert promoters, plus the entire Black Metal-scene in general. Show your public solidarity with our concern in this regard, please!

Some may wonder why we speak out against the so-called 'Antifa', and their activities in regard to Black Metal, first and foremost. Is it not that every political extremism has to be shunned altogether? Listen up, please! We don't care if one political ideology is 'better' than any other, be it 'left-wing' or 'right-wing' for that matter! We could not care less about such arguments.

We do care, however, when freedom of speech and of expression in Black Metal are at stake. Such danger is imminent, and it has one cause only: the 'Antifa', that is! Who else is terrorizing the scene with a campaign of threats, intimidation and violence against those who hold an opinion of their own? No one else but the 'Antifa' - but what do they have to do with Black Metal anyway?! They don't even listen to this music! They are only interested in enforcing their own political agenda, including the persecution of those who have different opinions. In this regard, the 'Antifa' is not different from any other group who subscribes to a totalitarian ideology. But no other group is pushing their politics on our scene like the 'Antifa' does. They have declared an outright culture struggle (Kulturkampf) on our scene, in order to decide upon the future definition of Black Metal. To this end, the freedom of speech and of expression
shall be abolished. We denounce this outrage, and we do so publicly!

Defend the freedom of speech and of expression in Black Metal!

Music - Metal
Description:
This group is for anyone opposed to the actions of Antifa regarding musical expression, and related festivals and events.

This group was created in light of the Northern Lights Festival in Austria http://www.northern-lights-festival.com/ which was cancelled due to apparent pressure from Antifa who believed that the lineup included NSBM bands or bands that advocated fascism or were affiliated with fascistic political movements. This was completely untrue, with not a single band having ever expressed such political sympathies (if any), only pride in their heritage (though of course, any such display immediately gets Antifa up in arms anyway). Nor was there any statement made on behalf of the festival that specified any particulars about who could and could not attend, certainly not on racial grounds.

Furthermore, this Facebook group states that Antifa has no right to even intervene at festivals which include bands who do express such sympathies, because music is expression, it may or may not be politically correct. Insofar as there is no incitement to violence, Antifa has no right to interfere, and in doing so are crushing the potential for political discourse (restricting it to the realms of what THEY consider "acceptable" ideas) and are taking on the role of a Thought Police force reminiscent of notable past totalitarian governments, ironically.

This group welcomes anyone who is sickened by the hypocrisy of Antifa's militancy and censorship or perhaps see them as one and the same thing as the institutionalised wave of political correctness that has it's stranglehold on the West in the present day.

This group is open to people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, musical tastes and political persuasions. It is also officially apolitical but is open to discussion, within the normal boundaries of conversational etiquette.

Scion Rock Fest

Hey guys, long time no see! Before I throw in my quick review of the fest, I apologize for being virtually nonactive the last few months--been dealing with emotional garbage, tons of schoolwork, too many hours at work, etc. So, to make up for it in a small way, here are a few thoughts on what was ultimately a pretty fun night.
